             Our Mission

Our  primary mission  is to publish  Contemporary and  Classic Christian books from an evangelical perspective that honor Christ and promote the values and virtues of His Kingdom.  We also publish historical books that preceded the evangelical designation.

Many within the Christian community -- through their pens and pulpits -- have protested the derelict state of the Christian mind.  Our intention is to provide quality books that introduce and orient readers to biblically-sound, theological thinking -- with a clarity that fosters biblical thought and Bible comprehension.  With this as our mission the materials that we publish focus on the conflicts and compatibilities between ...

 
      (1) science and religion,

(2) atheism and theism,

(3) philosophy and theology, and,

(4) that which is secular and that which is sacred

We also publish Christian devotional books, Christian fiction and non-fiction, church growth, evangelism and other inspirational Christian works that will nurture and strengthen the body of Christ.

We understand the challenges of getting published, especially if you’re a first-time author.  People just like you -- pastors, professors, housewives, businessmen, novelists, and more -- are discovering that there are options.  Its not all smoke and mirrors and its not as cut and dry as some would have you believe.  God, who called you to write your book, will provide the grace sufficient to the task of getting it published.  God always finishes what He starts.  Count on it.

Like a runner at the starting block you’re probably filled with eager anticipation. It's day one! You’ve finally put your pen down. Your manuscript is finished, complete…and you’re ready to publish. Congratulations!

The next leg of your journey has begun.  You’re off and running, seeking a publisher for your new book.

Be assured, the race you are now running is laden with unspeakable opportunity, excitement -- and challenges. Blessings multiplied await the diligent and those who practice patience -- and Spiritual Discernment. 

Beside you, with you, and for you is a “friend who sticks closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24). Jesus is that Friend. He will guide you to delightful shores which yesterday seemed a distant dream.  You've done it!  You've actually done it!  You've written a book!  That once distant dream is being fulfilled now.  Your book will soon be published. 

In the running of this race you are not alone. Jesus is running patiently with you, beside you, blazing a new trail -- just for you – because He loves and cares for you. 

  

So run, but do not rush nor be frantic in your efforts. So many feel they are not making progress unless they are swiftly, speedily, and frantically forging head.

Remember, a falling star races through the evening sky, burning brightly, yet with it’s great haste it proceeds to burn itself out -- to its own destruction.  So run, but do not rush nor be frantic.  Seek His guidance -- He will provide it.

Today is the day you put your hand to the publishing plow. New furrows are being prepared by the Holy Spirit to guide you each step of the way as you bring your writing project to publication.

Remember, the fruit of our labor ripens slowly. So, be patient. In the running of this race the diligent reap an abundant harvest through His providence – and patience. 

Haste, like a strangling weed, will choke the good seed that is to be sown and imprison your future. There are no short-cuts, nor are there quick solutions. He who is beside you, with you and for you is in no hurry.

So run, but with patience, and pray that you will yield to the wisdom of His guidance and the loving direction of His Spirit. If we can be used of Him to help you on your publishing journey, we would welcome that opportunity.

                                   Types of Publishers

There are many different types of book publishers and just as many definitions and descriptions that clarify their differences.  The most common categories of book publishers are:  Traditional Publishers, Subsidy Publishers, Vanity Publishers and Self-Publishers.

Traditional Publishers have been the industry standard for decades.  You write a book.  They buy the rights to your book then finance its publication and marketing.  Your book is published, promoted and marketed using the publisher’s name and money. You receive negotiated royalties.   

 

Subsidy Publishers usually do not buy the rights to your book.  Many subsidy publishers allow you to retain ownership of your book.  They also limit or refrain from financial investment in the publication and marketing of your book. Your book is, however, published using the publisher’s name.  (There are some prominent names in the Subsidy Publishing industry that give the appearance of being traditional, but or not). Subsidy Publishers also offer many similar services provided by Traditional Publishers.   

Vanity Publishers, like Subsidy Publishers, do not buy the rights to your book.  You retain ownership of your book.  The publisher makes no financial investment in the publication, promotion and/or marketing of your book.  When your book is published it is not published under the publisher’s name – it is published under the author’s name.  Vanity Publishers provide some, but not all, of the services of the Subsidy Publishers. 

Self-Publishers are just that – books that are published by the author.  The author handles everything needed to get their work into print.
